UNHCR – Muslim Aid Certificate Awarding Ceremony for Refugee Children | REGENT Language School – Negombo

The Certificate Awarding Event for Secondary- aged, schooling refugee children took place on the 23rd of March 2017, in Negombo. Fifty Seven (57) students were awarded certificates upon completion of Preliminary English courses in different levels in REGENT Language School of Negombo. The event took place at the school followed by performances by the students such as Dramas, Song, Speech, Dance and Compering which showcased their talents in English. The event took place under the patronage of MASL and UNHCR under the Education pillars of the UNHCR Project 2017. As part of the assistance to Asylum seekers and Refugees in Sri Lanka, UNHCR together with Muslim Aid Sri Lanka supports the Refugee population to gain access to education.
